What airport do you fly into for Roatán?
Roatán has its own international airport, Juan Manuel Gálvez International (RTB), near Coxen Hole.
How far is Roatán airport from West Bay and West End?
About 30 minutes to West Bay and about 26 minutes to West End. Sandy Bay is about 17 minutes, Oak Ridge about 50 and Camp Bay about 57. Times change with traffic and road works.
Is there Uber in Roatán?
No. There's no Uber, Lyft or any similar app on Roatán. Most visitors take a taxi or book a private transfer ahead.
Should I take a taxi or book a private transfer?
Taxis have no meters, so agree on the fare before you get in. A private transfer is booked ahead: your driver is waiting with your name on a sign, your flight is tracked, and there's no haggling at arrivals after a long flight.
What happens if my flight is late?
We track it. Your driver knows before you land and will be there when you come out. There's no charge for the wait, and nothing for you to do.
What if my flight is delayed to another day or diverted?
Tell us as soon as you can and we'll move the transfer to your new arrival at no charge.
Where do I meet my driver?
In the arrivals area at Roatán airport, holding a sign with your name on it. You'll have your driver's name and mobile number before you fly.
How much luggage can you take?
Tell us how many pieces when you request and we'll send a vehicle that fits them comfortably.
Can you take us to the ferry?
Yes. We can drive you between the airport, your hotel and the ferry dock.
What time will you pick us up for our flight home?
Give us your departure flight time (Roatán time) and we'll work back and tell you your pickup time.
What if I need to cancel or change?
You pay in full when you approve your quote. You get a full refund if you cancel more than 48 hours before an airport transfer or single ride; more than 72 hours before a day with your driver, a custom tour, group transport or the start of your VIP Vacation Pass; or, for parties of more than 15, more than 7 days before. Inside those times, or on a no-show, there's no refund. The VIP Vacation Pass is one package: no partial refunds once it starts, and unused tour days or rides don't carry over. Your quote sets out the terms for your booking.
What if my flight is cancelled, there's a storm, or you have to cancel?
If something out of your control stops your trip, like a cancelled flight or a storm, you get a full refund. We go rain or shine, but if we cancel because conditions are truly unsafe, or we can't provide your driver and vehicle, you get a full refund too.
Do I tip the driver?
Tips aren't included in the price, and they're always your choice. They mean a lot here, though: for most drivers in Roatán, tips are a big part of what they earn. If your driver looked after you well, a tip is a wonderful way to say thank you.
